Conversations on Documentary Filmmaking
Every month, we will conduct a mentoring workshop for young filmmakers on different aspects of the making of a documentary film: the language and ethics of documentary narrative. This discussion will take place in an informal, round table setting, moderated by 2 mentors, to enable the filmmakers to question, and thereby push their ideas/concepts further.

We invite filmmakers to submit their concepts / proposals preferably in the following format.
1. A one liner of the film.
2. A synopsis of the project
3. A treatment/director's/motivation note.
4. A video clip / trailer / rushes if available, not more than 20 minutes.
5. A brief bio of director and producer with contact details.
6. Any other material, if available, which will help us understand the project better.

The project may be at any stage:concept / pre production or even post.
The selected projects will be circulated amongst selected participants and mentors before the workshop.

Obligation: Shortlisted proposals will be required to include our logo along with the following text in the credits of their final films.
‘This film was developed at 'Conversations in Documentary'

Please note:
This session is free of charge.
There is room for only 1-2 projects every month.
So, projects which are not short listed, please feel free to apply again, preferably with additions.

Only selected proposals will be notified.
Please check this event page for updates.
